Hygiene services
The Kent Regional Service Commission (KRSC) is responsible for weekly solid waste collection in the Grand-Bouctouche region. Waste is sent to the Eco360 Southeast sorting center in Berry Mills. The collection schedule is available on the KSRC website. https://www.krsc.ca/solid-waste/.
Garbage must be put on the roadside no later than 4:00 a.m. on the morning of the collection day.

Water Services
The Water Department is responsible for the administration and operation of the drinking water system which provides treated water for human, industrial and commercial consumption as well as for the fire department. The department is responsible for two water pumps, the piping system, fire hydrants and the reservoir.
In 2026, the annual cost for water service is $315. An additional charge of $350 per service must be paid when connecting to the municipal system.
Sewage service
The Sewer Department is responsible for the administration and operation of the sewer connection and disposal system, as well as the seven lift stations and the sewage treatment plant.

The Transportation Department maintains roads, streets, shoulders and sidewalks.
City employees maintain storm sewers and drainage ditches, street lighting, street name signs, road markings and crosswalks.

Fire Department
The Fire Department provides emergency services to the residents of Grand-Bouctouche by dedicating manpower and equipment to extinguishing fires and applying rescue methods.
The Bouctouche Fire Department is comprised of 35 volunteer firefighters who are trained to respond to the emergency firefighting and rescue needs of our town.
Snow and ice removal on roads is provided by a private contractor. However, the removal of snow and ice on sidewalks is provided by municipal employees.
Municipal Tax
You can pay your municipal tax bill at the Service NB office.

The sanitation department is responsible for the collection of solid waste and its deposit at the transfer station located in the Bouctouche Business Park. Each year, the Sanitation Department organizes a beautification campaign, encouraging the residents of the Town of Bouctouche to clean up their yards and thus contribute to the cleanliness of the municipality.
Waste must be placed in the road no later than 5:00 a.m. on the day of collection.
